Our life was purchased on the cross over 2000 years ago when Jesus gave His life. When you give and appraisal on something you evaluate the worth, significance or status of, or give an expert judgment of the value of the merit of. When we are purchasing a home one of the most important steps we can take is the step to getting it appraised. This is when a specialist goes on the property and determines the damage to the home. After examining the strengths and weakness of the home the specialist will determine the market value of the home. God appraised us with His blood. His blood never looses power. No matter how much it is damaged it still will value the same. To release the grips of death and the power that sin, transgressions and iniquity have on us. Hebrews 9:28 says that Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. So in this we know that Jesus was offered up as a ransom which paid the debt of our sins. Once we come to Him, confess and believe we are no longer owned by the weight of our wrong but we are now lifted and seated with Christ. With His blood we are forgiven, set free, spared from Gods wrath and spirituality alive. God is so mindful of us. He sets us as a priority even a little lower then the Angels. Psalms 8: 4-6 says 4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet. There is nothing more empowering then to know that His thoughts of us are thoughts that don’t bring us to shame. We don’t always think of ourselves the same way that He thinks of us. He has crowned us with Glory and Honor. This translates to a weighty, beautiful ornament. Our worth and value is not in social status, Friends, career, or materialistic things. According to the word of God it’s not about works either. Our value was determined on the cross over 2000 years ago when Jesus gave his life as a ransom. It was then that the Chastisement of our peace was laid on His shoulder. Let us walk worthy of it and see ourselves as the ornament of grace that God created and sees us as.
